Regent Street Rally

Beautiful, classic vintage cars - out in force on Regent Street ahead of this year's London to Brighton Veteran Car Rally. A wonderful opportunity for thousands of people to enjoy traffic-free shopping ahead of the Christmas rush.

Hurry though - the cars will be making their way to the south coast tomorrow morning, but our teams of Ambassadors will remain to guide you through the best the West End has to offer!

All Change at Victoria

Our Victoria team recently went the colour purple! As part of Victoria BID's rebrand, the team have undergone a fashion transformation, with new hats, ties and logo. We love it and we hope you do too.

Included in the makeover was our kiosk, which has also been enhanced with a touch-screen info pad and the opportunity for you to have your photo taken!

Drop by and say hello - you'll find us outside the main entrance to Victoria Mainline station.

A Gold Medal Performance

Our fantastic teams in Victoria, the West End and Baker Street pulled off amazing record -breaking performances during the Olympic Games - meeting and greeting more than 100,000 visitors during the 17 days the Games were on. Our international team of highly-trained athletes (!) got into the true spirit of the Games (Victoria seen here celebrating Usain Bolt's amazing 200m win) and we look forward to welcoming you to the Capital for the Paralympics, starting on the 29th August.

Thanks to Ana Rita Abreu for the photo!

We Get There in the End!

A lovely message from Melissa (pictured below with Ian from Regent Street) who said Ian was one of the kindest people she'd met in London, while here for the Olympics. She was looking for a clothing store and Ian used his local knowledge and a handy Regent Street Guide to track it down!

Another satisfied customer!  Thanks Melissa for your kind words - we hope you enjoyed your stay in London.

Flying the Flag in Regent Street

One of our friends in Paris sent us this link.  It's of David being interviewed by AFP (French Press Service) yesterday in Regent Street.

The commentator says "in bowler hats and 3 piece suits - these guides know their job" - we couldn't have put it better ourselves!

The sun was shining, the sky was blue and the flags of all the Olympic Nations looked stunning!

Welcome to London - the Olympic City.

A Bigger Welcome at Victoria

This week we increased the size of our team of Ambassadors at Victoria in readiness for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. We now have 10 Ambassadors on duty every day, thanks to our friends at Victoria BID.

The new additions:- Ana Rita, Cat, Christopher, David, Herbie, Maria, Simon and Shaquilla even made the telly on Wednesday, when a crew from Toyko filmed them as they welcomed their first customers!

Good Luck Guys - Welcome Aboard!

Making New Friends in the West End

We were delighted to be part of the Team London Ambassadors Training Programme recently, helping Boris's Volunteer Ambassadors orientate themselves in the West End. A team of more than 100 volunteers will man an information point between John Lewis and House of Fraser during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and we look forward to welcoming them welcoming you!

Immediately below is Antonio with a few of the volunteers.  Below that is Mara and Elena, with another batch of recruits.

Good Luck Everyone and thanks Lisa for the photos!

Tracking Down David

Roi and his wife were over from Israel a few weeks ago and ran into David on Regent Street - who helped them with directions and suggested some great places to see. They promised to send him a photo, but lost his contact details.  Some clever detective work via Westminster City Council and New West End Company got the photo and a note of thanks to us.

Thanks Roi (and Mrs Roi!).  We hope you had a great time in London!

A Quarter of a Million Welcomes

We reached a bit of a milestone recently, when we welcomed our 250,000th visitor! We started counting (using Calvin's brilliant bespoke PDA reporting system)  in mid November last year and reached the magic number in just five months.

If you haven't been welcomed yet - look out for teams of Ambassadors in London's West End and Victoria and say hello....before we do!

Big in Japan

Really chuffed to see an article about us on a Japanese website - with pictures too!  Go to http://crea.bunshun.jp/articles/-/1217 to see for yourself. For those not familiar with Japanese - the article explains the service we offer,  and ends with a reminder that if you're lost or need help in the West End or Victoria  - just ask the people in the bowler hats.

Couldn't have put it better myself!

Thanks to Paul Vater of Sugarfree Design for handling this and so many other great pieces for us over the last six months.  We'll miss you Paul.
